Originally from Montreal, where she began her career working in a downtown law firm, Donna has been working in the Calgary film and television industry for almost 15 years.

As Head of Legal Affairs at SEVEN24, Donna is an integral part of all projects from development through to distribution, with a focus on securing production funding, negotiating intellectual property and key creative contracts, and advising on co-production structures with Canadian and international production partners.

Donna’s credits include Wynonna Earp, Heartland, Young Drunk Punk, Canadian Screen Award winning television movie Borealis, Smoke Screen, On Strike for Christmas, Wild Roses, the Gemini Award winning mini-series Burn Up and Mayerthorpe.

Her previous position as Head of Legal Affairs at Voice Pictures focused on international co-productions including Little House on the Prairie, Into the West, September Dawn, and the feature film Goose on the Loose, a film she also associate produced.

Donna has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, as well as a post-graduate diploma in Applied Information Technology. She sat on the Board of Directors of the University of Calgary’s New University Television station (NUTV) and the Calgary Society of Independent Filmmakers (CSIF) for several years and she has produced, directed and written several short films of her own.
