Tom Cox is a veteran film and television producer whose work spans thirty years and includes dramatic series and mini-series, television movies, feature films and documentaries.

Tom Cox has been producing original scripted content for Canadian and world audiences for over 35 years. His credits include award-winning feature films, dramatic series, mini-series and television movies. Tom co-founded SEVEN24 Films in 2006, in Calgary, Alberta. SEVEN24 Films was recently named Playback Magazine’s Production Company of the Year.
Current productions include Wynonna Earp – Vengeance, a feature length special based on the hit series Wynonna Earp and airing on Tubi; Family Law, a legal procedural airing on Global in Canada and CW in the US; and Heartland, the longest running one-hour drama series in Canadian history, airing on the CBC, CBC Gem, UpTV in the US, Netflix, and broadcast in over 120 countries around the world.
Previous series include the two-time People’s Choice Award winning Wynonna Earp, JANN, Fortunate Son, Ride, Young Drunk Punk, Wild Roses, Dinosapien, Shoebox Zoo, Tom Stone, North of Sixty, and The Ray Bradbury Theatre. Television movies and mini-series include Borealis, Burn Up, Mayerthorpe, Waking Up Wally, Chasing Freedom, and After the Harvest.
International co-productions include the television movie The Ron Clark Story, the drama series Damnation, and the feature films Brokeback Mountain, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, and Resurrecting the Champ.
Tom is a board member of the Banff International Media Festival Foundation and board emeritus of the Canadian Media Producers Association, and is past chair of the CMPA, the Alberta Media Production Industry Association and the National Screen Institute.
Tom is a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in recognition of his contribution to the arts.
